Manistee County Transportation Inc, follows ADA regulations regarding service animals on our vehicles at no charge.
Animals which are typically domesticated pets will be allowed on MCTI vehicles if they are lap-sized and confined to an appropriate commercial cage.
The policy of lap-sized cages for animals, other than assistance animals, should be an absolute. No amount of tethering, muzzling or assurances of docility shall be acceptable justification for transporting a larger than lap-sized animal.
No Show Policy
Responding to customers who fail to cancel rides are not only costly, but cause delays and customer inconveniences in the overall daily transportation service schedule. The Dial- A- Ride will implement the following procedures when a “No Show” occurs with a given customer.
When the customer creates a “No Show” situation, it will be documented and they will be expected to pay for the previous “No Show” fare plus the current fare before service is reinstated. In a sense, they incur a double fare for a double trip.
